The District of Columbia Society Sons of the American Revolution is proud to conduct Operation Ancestor Search (OAS), a free genealogy training program for the Armed Service members at the Walter Reed Naitonal Military Medical Center and the Fort Belvoir Warrior Transition Complex.


Training Classes:

OAS will be at the WRNMMC on November 3rd, November 29th, and December 15th, 2011.

OAS will be at the Fort Belvoir Warrior Transition Complex on November 8th and December 6th, 2011.

Battle Buddy Program:

Participants in the program are eligible to request a Battle Buddy (a DCSSAR volunteer) who can answer questions and assist with genealogy research. Sign-up here!





Latest News:

OAS is now operational at the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Fort Belvoir Warrior Transition Complex. These new locations replace the original program at the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center. In addition, OAS operated at the Fort Sam Houston Warrior Family Support Center.
